Selection Advice
Paralleling controllers represent the highest tier of generator controllers. The DSE8610 is the industry benchmark — marine classification society certification (ABS/DNV) enables ship and offshore platform use; BACnet/SNMP protocols enable direct BMS and data center DCIM integration; cybersecurity features meet critical infrastructure compliance. Highest price but most complete certification and reliability.
The HGM7100N is SmartGen’s paralleling workhorse — functionally on par with DSE8610 at approximately 60% of the price. 7-inch large touchscreen with excellent user experience. Widely used in small-to-medium power station projects across Asia, Africa, and South America. Lacks marine certification and advanced cybersecurity, but most land-based applications don’t require these.
The DKG500 is Datakom’s paralleling solution — smallest screen but highest competitiveness in budget-sensitive large projects at approximately 50% of DSE8610’s price. Feature completeness trails the other two. Suitable for pure paralleling without complex power management.
